Bob Baumgarten, MSPT, FAAOMPT,

ASTYM Certified 

Physical Therapist

Bob graduated from the University of Pacific in 1995 with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy.  Bob is also a graduate of the Kaiser Hayward Physical Therapy Fellowship in Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapy, a 10 month, post-graduate, full time residency.  He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Physcial Therapists.  He has completed the Folsom Year Long Manual Therapy Program and the Grass Valley Orthopedic Manual Therapy program. 

 

 In addition to clinical practice, Bob is an educator.  He is currently a Faculty Associate in the Kaiser Hayward Fellowship, has taught as Adjunct Faculty in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Samuel Merritt College and as an instructor in the Grass Valley course.  He has also been an instructional assistant in various other post-graduate continuing education courses.

In 2007 Bob published an article on a  Return to Running Following Meniscectomy in the peer reviewed Journal of  Manual and Manipulative Therapy.

Bob is also a certified ASTYM provider. The ASTYM system focuses on repairing the normal soft tissues of the body (muscles, tendons, ligaments, etc.) and correcting abnormal soft tissue (scar tissue and other inappropriate fibrosis) which may interfere with movement and cause pain. His own ACL reconstruction and successful rehabilitation in 1988 sparked Bob's interest in Physical Therapy.  When not at work you might find Bob in a sea kayak, out on his bike or off on a hike.

Dina Schnellinger, PT, CSCS

Dina is originally from Alden, New York. She graduated from Daemen College in  1995 with a degree in Physical Therapy. After graduation, she relocated to Montclair, New Jersey where she worked for 3 years in a teaching hospital specializing in neuro rehab and spinal cord injuries.

 In 1999 Dina moved to California, where she has worked with orthopedic, sports and work related injuries. In additon to clinical practice, Dina works closely with the Physical Therapy Assistant students at Ohlone College. She was the Academic Coordinator of Clinical Educations and continues to be a member of the Board of Advisors.

Dina continues her own education by taking post-graduate continuing education courses to keep up to date on her manual skills, techniques and procedures in the field.  She is now certified by the  National Strength and Conditioning Assocation as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. http://www.nsca-lift.org/

She  became interested in Physical Therapy from playing sports which included two years of collegiate volleyball. In her free time, Dina can be found outdoors with her dogs, hiking, skiing or cycling. She also volunteers with RockMed.
