Dr. Eppley is a board certified Orthopaedic
Surgeon and a Qualified Medical Examiner, who has specialized in injuries to the shoulder and knee since 1990. He is the primary
orthopaedic surgeon for the University of California at Berkeley athletic teams, including sideline coverage and travel with
the CAL football team for many years. Dr. Eppley is the Chief of Orthopedics for the CAL Student Health Service and
Chief of Orthopedics for Sports Medicine at CAL.
He is a nationally recognized leader in shoulder and knee surgery. Dr. Eppley has
lectured, published and instructed many surgical teaching laboratories nationally.
His peers have repeatedly voted Dr. Eppley to “The Bay Areas
Best Doctors” by Focus magazine and “Best of the Bay”, by San Francisco magazine, "One of San Francisco's
Top Doctors". He is also listed as one of the "Top Doctors in America" and "One of the Best Doctors

Dr. Eppley attended Swarthmore College and Yale
University followed by medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio, where he graduated with honors.
He completed
7 years of surgical residency and fellowship at Case Western Reserve University, Harvard, Tufts and UCLA. Dr. Eppley is an

Dr.
Eppley competed in the Ohio regional tennis competition and played college basketball. He currently lives in Orinda with his
